The third annual NEW YORK TRANSGENDER FILM FESTIVAL celebrates films that are for, created by, and are about our Trans+ community...Transgender, Non-Binary, Gender Non-Conforming, Intersex and Two-Spirit.

We're excited to present an event that showcases stories of our trans community and the talented queer creators that bring these vital projects to life, in a uniquely historical queer environment.

Very often with a general LGBTQIA+ festival- trans stories are an "addition", but the New York Transgender Film Festival is all about US!

NYTFF is presented as part of the Trans Celebration Weekend (Sept 11 & 12), with a series of events that speak to the trans/non-binary experience. A weekend exclusively for our trans community to come together to celebrate queer writers, filmmakers and performers.

This amazing event will be held at the Cherry Grove Theater in Fire Island, which has national recognition as the longest running LGBTQ+ theater in the United States.
