Join us for readings from guest authors, to discuss works in television and literature, workshop with attendees and you can even signup to share your work in the Writer's Circle.


Denne Michele Norris (she/her) is a writer and editor with experience in various literary platforms. She will be joining us to read from her new novel and to workshop with attendees. We will be talking trends, writing rituals, finding inspiration, using your voice and getting your work noticed.


This year the Writer's Circle welcomes participants to sign-up to share their work with the group.

Denne Michele Norris (she/her) is the editor-in-chief of Electric Literature, winner of the 2022 Whiting Literary Magazine Prize, where she is the first Black, openly trans woman to helm a major literary publication. Her writing has been supported by MacDowell, Tin House, VCCA, and the Kimbilio Center for Black Fiction, and appears in McSweeney's, American Short Fiction, and ZORA.


The former fiction editor for both Apogee Journal and The Rumpus, she co-hosts the critically acclaimed podcast Food 4 Thot, and mentors emerging writers of color with The Periplus Collective.


Her debut novel, When The Harvest Comes, is forthcoming from Random House.
